About the Trainer

Venera is a negotiation and conflict resolution specialist with an extensive academic background. She has worked with international organizations such as Crisis Group, Mercy Corps International, Solidarites International, Cordaid, Committee to Protect Journalists and UN Women. Venera has led youth programs in Colombia and Kosovo and conducted research on complex dynamics in conflict, communication and conflict, power asymmetries and sustainable peace. She has lead workshops with youth and has taught a conflict resolution course with university students in Columbia University. Venera is dedicated to influence positive change through personal and social development. She believes that social change starts by creating spaces that promote constructive communication practices within workplaces, families, communities, and political institutions.
