Union Minister for Construction U Han Zaw, accompanied by Chin State’ Chief Minister U Salai Lian Lwal, looked into the constructions and developments of roads, bridges and state-owned buildings in Chin State on 15 October.
They inspected the works of Chin State’s Road Management Department, including the expansion of 12 ft-wide tarred road on the road section of Hakha- Thantlang, construction of reinforced rock walls and paving Asphalt Cement (AC)) road in Thantlang Town.
The Union Minister and officials also inspected constructions of Thantlang-Sasichauk road section, and the 17-mile long Hnaringkham- Cikha road constructed by the Village Development Departement to link with Thantlang-Sasichauk road.
They also arrived at the constructions of Hakha University’s convocation hall supervised by the Special Building Group (9) under the Building Department and a three-storey RC structure of Chin State’ High Court supervised by the Special Building Group (6).
Union Minister U Han Zaw also held a meeting with the staff members of Road Management Department, Village Development Department and Special Groups of Chin States, and called for infrastructural development in Chin State and free from corruption in their works.
The Union Minister also inspected the Hakha-Gangaw road upgraded by Hakha district’s Road Management Department and the Special Road Group (12).
