“Images captured on the Redmi Note 8 Pro are said to have twice the resolution as 8K, 7.7 times higher than the 4K UHD and 25 times clearer than 1080p”

Redmi Note 8 series is confirmed to be officially unveiled in China on August 29th. The smartphones will be powered by the MediaTek Helio G90T and are said to come with 18W fast charging support and liquid cooling technology as well. Now, ahead of the launch, some more details about the Redmi Note 8 Pro 64MP quad-camera setup have been officially revealed. The camera is claimed to capture 34 percent more optical information than the 48-megapixel sensor. The images captured on the Redmi Note 8 Pro are said to have twice the resolution of 8K, 7.7 times higher than the 4K UHD and 25 times clearer than the 1080p image.

The Redmi Note 8 Pro is also confirmed to offer 25x zoom that retains most of the details even when zoomed. It will also be capable of recording videos at 8K resolution (9248×6936 pixels). The only other phone that can record 8K videos is nubia Red Magic 3. Xiaomi president Bin Lin mentioned on Weibo that the 64MP camera relies on a 1/1.7-inch sensor and 1.6-micron large pixels. With what’s been revealed so far, the Redmi Note 8 Pro camera is surely turning out to a unique offering, especially considering the Redmi Note series’ price segment. The company has also shared an image shot on the Redmi Note 8 Pro on Weibo.

Moreover, the Redmi Note 8 Pro is expected to feature a teardrop notch to accommodate the selfie snapper. On the other hand, the Redmi Note 8 is likely to feature a 48MP primary sensor. Both the phones should run on Android 9.0 Pie with MIUI 10 out of the box. However, the rest of the specifications remain a mystery for now, but we should come across more details soon.
