“The Agriculture Service Centre will spread awareness on correct planting methods, seeding methods, and other plantation methods, such as rubber extraction, coffee, vegetable and flower plantation,” said Daw Thandar Myint, an official from the Township Agriculture department.

According to data from the department, there are 42,493 acres of paddy fields, 155 acres of pepper plantations, 693 acres of vegetable farms, 87 acres of corn farms, 87 acres of sweet potato, 37,013 acres of rubber, and 5,912 acres of oil palm plantations in 161 villages in 22 village-tracts in Myeik Township.
