A mass walk event was held in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday morning to mark the 2019 International Day of People with Disabilities which will fall on 3 December.

As part of a week-long activities for this day, the National Committee on Rights of Persons with Disabilities (NCRPD) organized the mass walk which started in front of Nay Pyi Taw Herbal Park to the finishing point Gate 3 of the Water Fountain Garden where the participants took physical exercises.

The event was taken part by Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman Dr Myo Aung, and its members, Deputy Minister for Social Welfares, Relief and Resettlement U Soe Aung, departmental staff, the affiliated groups of people with disabilities under the UNICEF, World Vision, the Leprosy Mission Myanmar, Humanity & Inclusion, Help Age International, Myanmar Independent Living Initiative and local people.
