The Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement held a coordination meeting at its office in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday about the preventive measures against COVID-19.
At the meeting, Union Minister Dr Win Myat Aye advised the ministry’s senior officers from Nay Pyi Taw Council Area and sub-national offices on the need of constant vigilance against COVID-19 which has been announced by the World Health Organization as a pandemic.
He added the MSWRR staff should be aware of the outbreak of disease in their works as the ministry is coordinating with international organizations, with following the guidelines of disease control central committee and the Ministry of Health and Sports.
Deputy Minister U Soe Aung said the staff members to mainly use email, Viber and Skype in communications with foreign persons and INGOs.
