Union Minister for Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation U Ohn Win inspected processing of gemstones, construction of office buildings, plant nursery for public and greening plots in Mandalay Region on 12 January.
The Union Minister and party arrived at the Mingalabar Gemstones Processing Factory and its finished products shop on Theitpan Road between 62nd and 63rd streets in Mandalay City in the morning.
The Union Minister gave advice to produce international standard finished gem products to attract foreign buyers.
They also visited construction sites of new buildings for Forest Department in Patheingyi Township where they also inspected cultivation of plant nursery managed by the department.
The Union Minister and party looked into timbers confiscated by the district Forest Department before they proceeded to plantations of firewood and public forests in Mahlaing and Meiktila townships.
