UNION Minister for Electricity and Energy U Win Khaing received Euro Cham Myanmar Energy Advocacy Group led by European Union Ambassador to Myanmar Mr Kristian Schmidt and Ambassador of Italy to Myanmar Mrs Alessandra Schiavo at the Union Minister guest hall in Ministry of Electricity and Energy, Nay Pyi Taw.
At the meeting, current and future programmes with international companies in the renewable energy sector, short and long term programs on increasing electricity generation and distribution, cooperation with private sector, arrangements to conducts projects in a transparent manner, present and future work of national level renewable energy committee for the development of renewable energy sector, investment by EU companies in Myanmar electricity and energy sector, financial grant and loan programs by European Investment banks for development of electricity and energy sector, programs related to renewable energy sector and policy on climate change, programs for private sector to participate in future electricity and energy sector, cooperating to develop human resources and ongoing investment programs were discussed.
