A delegation from the People’s Republic of China led by State Councilor and Minister of Foreign Affairs of PRC Mr Wang Yi visited Mya-Nan-San-Kyaw Mandalay Royal Palace, and Maha Lawka Marazein Ku-thodaw Pagoda yesterday.

In the morning, the delegation led by State Councilor and Minister of Foreign Affairs of PRC Mr Wang Yi met with Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing at the Yan Gyi Aung Villa of Central Command and cordially discussed the matters of promoting bilateral friendship and cooperation between Myanmar and China.

After the meeting, the State Councilor and Minister of Foreign Affairs of PRC Mr Wang Yi and party visited Mya-Nan-San-Kyaw Mandalay Royal Palace.

The delegation also visited the UNESCO World Heritage Site The Maha Lawka Marazein Kuthodaw Pagoda, also known as, The World’s Largest Book, offered flowers, water and lights, and signed the pagoda’s guest book.

In the evening, the State Councilor and Minister of Foreign Affairs of PRC and party visited the Mandalay Hill, and enjoyed the sunset beauty from the hill.

Afterwards, the State Councilor and Minister of Foreign Affairs of PRC and party arrived at the briefing room of Myanmar-China petroleum pipeline project being carried out by China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) near the milepost No.363 on Yangon-Mandalay Highway where an official from CNPC explained the current conditions of the project.

The Chinese Foreign Minister and party left Mandalay International Airport for Kun-ming at night.
