A Public Policy and Basic Social Research Methodology Training was conducted at the Assembly Hall of the Ministry of Information in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday morning.
Deputy Minister U Aung Hla Tun of the Ministry of Information said at the training: “The training is really important for the civil service personnel at different levels to lay down public policies. Policies are made up of what to do and what not to do. To decide right policies is as important as to use correct and systematic research methodology. Right and appropriate policies should be laid down by reviewing the research results according to the prevailing circumstances. Hence, the trainees should involve themselves closely in the training and they should make the best and effective use of valuable knowledge and skills they gained for the respective departments and for the nation as well as to share them with their co-peers.
Special Projects Unit Manager Daw Miki Kyaw Myint of the Asia Foundation then briefed on the training.
The training was attended by 31 departmental officials and staff with the Ministry of Information and it will continue until 28 February.
