DEPUTY Minister for Electricity and Energy Dr Tun Naing inspected the 230-KV Shwebo Main Sub-Power Station Project in Shwebo, Sagaing Region, yesterday.
Upon completion, the 230 KV Shwebo Main Sub-Power Station and power cables projects would transport power generated by the Tapain-1 Hydropower Station in Bhamo, Kachin State, to the national grid through the 230 KV Bhamo, Nabar-Shwebo-Ohntaw power line.
The project would bring light to 21 wards in Shwebo, KhinU and YeU benefitting nearly 22,600 households and nearly 29,900 households from 216 villagers.
During the tour of inspection yesterday, the deputy minister also visited the 230 KV Ohntaw Main Sub-Power Station in Sagaing and gave instruction on extended facility of 230/33/11 KV 100 MVA transformer.
He called upon the employees to carry out maintenance of equipment and cables in attempts to supply electricity to the people with full voltage.
