UNION Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr Win Myat Aye separately received New Zealand Ambassador Mr Stephen Marshall, Norwegian Ambassador Ms Tone Tinnes, and Swiss Ambassador Mr Stefano Toscano who is also General Director of the Geneva International Centre for Humanitarian Demining (GICHD).

In meeting with Mr Mar-shall, they discussed capacity building for human resources, promoting the livelihoods of people with disabilities, providing them rehabilitation programmes and greater access to judicial rights.

In the meeting with Ms Tone Tinnes, they discussed sharing information on landmine, assisting landmine victims with rehabilitation, the 4th conference of Anti-Personnel Mine Ban Convention coming up next month in Oslo, Norway, the latest situation in Rakhine State, and carrying out landmine clearance for resettling IDPs.

In the meeting with Mr To-scano, the Union Minister discussed the National Mine Action Authority workshop, cooperation with ASEAN Regional Mine Action Center, sharing information on the dangers of landmine, and possible cooperation with Geneva International Centre for rehabilitation and capacity building initiatives.
