TATMADAW PROVIDES COVID RELIEF AIDS TO RAKHINE STATE


THE Tatamdaw sent its medical units, medical equipment, food and necessities in a second humanitarian assistance trip to Rakhine State, according to the Tatmadaw True News Information Team.

The military cargo plane left Yangon Airport and arrived in Sittway with the assistance to prevent, contain and treat COVID-19. The medical unit consists of an anesthesiologist, a lab technician, a physician, 2 medics and 10 nurses. The equipment include an oxygen plant, an ICU Ventilator (SV-300), 2 ICU beds, 3 suction machines, 3 pulse oxymeters, 3 patient monitors, 3 infusion pumps, 3 syringe pumps, a video laryngoscope, a mini-centrifuge, 10 oxygen cylinders (40L), an oxygen concentrator (5L), 3 BP Cuffs, 5 UV lamps, and 134 different types of medicine and apparatuses.

The oxygen plant is capable of producing 6 oxygen cylinders per day and will help fulfil the oxygen demand for patients in Rakhine State. The medical unit and humanitarian assistance were received by Colonel Thet Naing Oo and officials from Sittway cantonment. Furthermore, the medical regiment and the Defence Services hospital in Sittway are prepared to take in 120 patients tested positive for COVID-19.
